We chose Elche Restaurante de Tapas as the venue for our Christmas lunch by asking everyone in the party to vote for their choice. The restaurant was pretty chilly when we arrived but the welcome was warm. There was a choice of Tapas or a traditional meal and our party chose from both. The food was plentiful and tasty, but not gourmet. Service was slick and fast and the restaurant had a nice ambience - shame about the loos.

We went to Elche Restaurant de Tapas for a girls Xmas night out and it was the perfect venue. Catered well for the vegetarians among us. They do a mean jug of Sangria and kept the food and drink flowing all night. Highly recommend it!

An intergenerational party of diners that were suitably entertained by an excellent interactive flamenco dancer. Good range of set menus including both the traditional and tapas. A nice selection of reasonably priced wines and a really fun place for groups.

Great service, good local restaurant and good price if going on a weekday night. Be warned you need 3 plates each.

We went on a Wednesday and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant so not really much of an atmosphere. The food was great and really good value for money and the waitress was brilliant and recommended some lovely dishes. Will definitely be going back.

Elche Restaurante de Tapas is not a bad restaurant for a local place and the staff are friendly and on the saturday night I went it had a nice atmosphere, but the food we had was a bit disapointing. Not a expert on spanish food so don't want to be too judgemental but I have been to better spanish restaurants in london.

El Che is an excellent local restaurant. The food and service are always good. We went on a Monday night so it was particularly quiet but Friday's they have flamenco dancing and more of a party atmosphere. Great value. If only they improved the toilets!

4 of us tried the a la carte on Saturday night at Elche Tapas Restaurant, after buffet lunch on Sunday. 1 ordered mixed grill and 1 sea bass. Generous portions, couldn't finish it. After considerable effort my wife and I managed 8 tapas between us. With wine, water, desserts etc. it worked out about 25 pound each. Very good value for the quality and quantity. Service was friendly and helpful, but don't wexpect the food in a few minutes. It's all freshly cooked to order, and better for it

About our fourth visit. Generous portions of steak, sea bass, and hake - all cooked correctly. Service friendly and polite, but not pushy. Including wine, coffee, etc good value, especially considering the quality, at about 25pound a head.
