Duk’s is not your average pea in the pod, that’s for sure. Tucked inside a converted basement beneath a couple of post-clubbing takeaways on Lancaster Road, it’s Preston’s quirkiest bistro. Duk’s raison d’etre is to give you the world on your plate. Not that that means a huge carbon foot print – far from it. As much as possible is sourced from local suppliers. All dishes are tapas, so you can savour the Mediterranean to Peru and beyond in one night without bursting (mind you, portions are generous, so order in moderation). Sundays at Duk’s are a hit with a difference - your choice of Peruvian roast (lamb, chicken, beef, duck) – which you carve yourselves - with a heaps of garlic, rosemary potato, honey roast veg, and a large jug of home-made red onion gravy from £12.50. Nice.
