Italian ristorantes don’t come much more traditional than Donna Margherita. The entire Neapolitan team, led by Gabriele Vitale, share such a powerful passion for all things Southern Italian that you can feel it in the air. It’s not only the walls that are imported, most of the produce is too. Every simple dish is guaranteed freshly made every day. Gorgeously fresh, top quality antipasto, pastas, sauces, meat, vegetarian and fish dishes are all on offer. But it’s the pizzas that simply have to be devoured. The crispy thin crust pizzas are sublime. Seriously. And don't just take our word on it; Johnny Vaughn raves that it's 'the best pizza outside of Italy'. Each is proudly baked in a wood-fired oven just like mamma used to make. Donna Margherita is a restaurant with soul; you’ll leave in love with Neapolitan food.

Donna Margherita is as you would expect of a homely Italian on a main road in Clapham Junction - but it is fine. I went for a casual business lunch and it worked. The food is good - but there was heaps of it so don't eat for 6-8 hours before going. Service was excellent and friendly, couldn't fault it. I would go back for a party or similar gathering.

I took a party of nine to Donna Margharita on a surprisingly bustling Sunday evening, and we all had an enjoyable night. The service was fine and the complicated orders generally dealt with well, although tap water was slower than alcohol. The food was fresh and tasty and the portions large, and the wine was reasonably priced and very good. Our table was slightly cramped but it didn't get in the way of an enjoyable evening, and I would definitely return.Review
Went on a Friday night for a meal for 2 after a recommendation from a friend. Noticed that it has always seemed crowded having walked past on numerous occasions. There was a fun and homely atmosphere in the restaurant. Ordered from the a la carte menu, partner's main of fish and salad was well prepared and v. tasty. However I ordered a pizza and was slightly disappointed, mozzarella was undercooked and the base too liquidy, expected more.Would recommend as a fun, informal local with good serviceVisitors
