About Dhabba
If you’re feeling presidential, perhaps you should head to The Dhabba on Candleriggs in Glasgow. The sensational Northern Indian fare is prepared by Mr J.D. Tewari, previously the personal chef to the president and prime minister of India. Trained by guru super-chef Intiaz Qureshi, Tewari serves up his sumptuous dishes in a simple and unpretentious social environment modeled on dhabbas - traditional roadside diners in Northern India. The Dhabba prides itself on using wholesome, authentic ingredients. You won’t get that I-shouldn’t-have-ordered-the-naan-bread bloated feeling after a feed here, as they use little to no oils and creams in their recipes. The humble service and award-winning curries make The Dhabba an instant hit.

walked past dhabba many times without realising it was there if that makes any sense. staff were very welcoming and the service was quick and efficient. poppadoms were a touch too hot but that's only a very minor gripe. apart from that the food was lovely and i'd return when i'm in glasgow againReview
Dhabba was a an absolute pleasure. Their speciality monk fish tikka was so tasty and the staff were very warm and helpful. The atmosphere was great, not too loud and yet lively enough for you to enjoy the ambience. I would definately recommend this place, its not your typical Indian restaurant. Thank you Dhabba, will see you again.Review
The food was quite simply out of this world - succulent chicken made in the clay oven was superb even without a sauce. A gem of a placeVisitors
