About Darbar - Leeds
Leeds’ Kirkgate is home to Darbar, an Indian restaurant with a little added style. Forget the tried and tested, Darbar is a destination fit for a king, with a totally overboard interior straight out of the storybooks, complete with painted pillars, ornate furniture and antique Indian style light fittings swinging from panelled ceilings, setting it apart from your usual Friday night ruby destination. Relaxed service compliments a menu prepared by an award winning chef – traditional dishes served with light, easy on the palate sauces. All your favourite Indian dishes are there, from bhunas to baltis while vegetarians are absolutely spoilt by an impressive range of meat free dishes.

Sitting amid the opulent Eastern decor of the Darbar, it's easy to imagine yourself very far away from Leeds city centre! We enjoyed a couple of bottles of deliciously chilled Sancerre in the bar area, while taking a leisurely look at the menu. The waiters are friendly and attentive, and happy to help you choose from the wide range of dishes. All of the food was excellent, and delivered in generous portions. A really good night out! Look forward to going back.Review
Don't be put off by the entrance to Darbar, looks dank and dingy and we weren't going to go in, certainly glad we did. very kitsch/ornate decor, large restaurant with many Indian people eating there. Traditional food and great value for money. If in Leeds again, I would returnReview
The amiance was great, we had fogotten the time of the meal that we were still in Leeds. The food is very nice, we could taste every spice. I highly recommend.Visitors
