Dakhin restaurant in Glasgow is another head boy from the class act who brought you Dhabba. Authentic South Indian cuisine is the focus in this Merchant City destination decorated in the modern casual vernacular: sleek lines with splashes of vibrant colour. The menu features dishes without weird colourings and slicks of oil, dishes where complex flavours shine through. The specialty is dosa, thin crepes of rice and lentils stuffed with irresistible fillings, though the emphasis on vegetarian and basmatic dishes is excellent, too. The three-course thali lunch deal and the pre-theatre offer are a steal. Award-winning cuisine in a bright, modern setting – great for quick lunches and easy dinners.

An Indian restaurant with a difference, Light food, large crisp Paper rolls rather than stoogy nans. We all had excelllent dishes and being South Indian were light, un-oily and delicious. The staff were friendly and the restaurant had a modern ambience. Highly recommended.
