Chez Gerard brings its winning combination to the heart of Mayfair. In keeping with its establishment neighbourhood, the decor is all wood-panelled with traditional decor that gives a cosy warmth to the dining room. Chez Gerard claim to serve 'the best steak frites this side of Paris', a claim you should test for yourself. This is a buzzy, informal space, a magnet for the local art gallery staff, that relaxes into easy conversation and romance in the evenings. Indulge your tastebuds in time-tested French brasserie cuisine. Try hot Camembert baked in its box with asparagus, radish, celery
and wheat biscuits, followed by Steak frites cooked exactly as you require, followed by wine and a Gauloise.
Although not normally open, breakfast meetings can be booked by appointment.

We went early NYE, CG had just opened and was a touch disorganised, but overall the service was very good and attentive and although NYE is a rip-off everywhere it offered the best VFM in the area and the food wasn't bad. Even though it was a set meal and through our own fault we didn't have time for dessert, a sum was omitted from the final bill. A nice touch.Review
Chez Gerard gave us a poor enough table even though it was early and the service was not great. However the food was ok for the price.Visitors
