About Chez Gerard - Chancery Lane
Perfectly located for lunch and after-work meetings for legal-eagle-type carnivores, Chez Gerard works its magic on this Chancery Lane location. It's a haven of good food, fine wine, and excellent service for everyone
from QC's to court reporters. The wood-panelled decor with its panelled booths and luggage racks is inspired by the golden age of Parisian brasseries in the 1930s. The ambience is buzzy and informal relaxing into
easy conversation and romance in the evenings. And ze menu? Tout French, mon brave. Indulge your tastebuds with time-tested French brasserie cuisine. Start with Hot Camembert baked in its box with asparagus, radish, celery and wheat biscuits, followed by steak frites cooked exactly as you require, followed by wine and a Gauloise.

Chez Gerard - chancery lane provided us with delicious food and great service that was not over bearing. A little on the pricey side but I think its worth paying that bit extra sometime. What out for the ChateauBriand as they state on the menu its for two people but the actual cost is per person so is very misleading and lead to a very large bill that was unexpected. However, it did taste delicious!

Always enjoy dining at Chez Gerard in Chancery Lane, an atomospheric experience all round. Visiting this City venue between Christmas and New Year (i.e. when the City falls silent of it's usual bustle) is felt to be taking a risk though. Main seafood was off the menu (we were advised before opening the menu) and so was the more exciting of the two vegetarian dishes . . . not advised until having ordered it! However, predictably, the backup meal and service thereafter was exceptional. Thanks.Review
I've been to this restaurant several times for client lunches and unfortunately the service has been poor however the food is delicious which makes up for it.Visitors
