About Chai Pani
Ever eaten Rajasthani food in London? Now you can, at a new restaurant near Marble Arch just off the Edgeware Road. Actually, Chai Pani (meaning tea and water, the staples of Indian hospitality) is rather more than a restaurant. Describing itself as an Indian vegetarian restaurant and tea room serving lunch and dinner, it offers a set Rajasthani 'banquet' featuring dishes largely unfamiliar to Western foodies. Classics such as dahl baati churma, and vegetable dishes made with dried wild berries and beans, continue the timeless Rajasthani tradition of serving rare and unusual dishes in a guest's honour. Fresh, bright and exciting, Chai Pani is a must for the adventurous (and vegetarians, naturally).

What a lovely place, so cosy and comfortable. The special new years Thalli was amazing! Unfortunately my partner wasn't feeling well so i had to rush off and didn't fully appreciate the place. We are planning to go back soon though so that my boyfriend can have a good meal, which he certainly will here. Considering i am vegan there was a great deal of choice too, the staff were really nice.Review
Chai Pani - Lovely food and friendly waiters. Will surely go back.Review
Chai Pani was a peaceful haven from the busy streets outside. Food was good without being brilliant, but was prepared in an authentic Rajasthani style - useful when you have guests from that region of India. If anything the food was a little too spicy for our Indian friend, but fortunately the attentive waiting staff were on hand to provide yoghurt/water to cool things down.Visitors
