Cafe Marlayne remains excellent value for money and a really good choice on the menu to keep everyone happy. Service was a bit slow so we didn't feel rushed. House white wine is super as well! Would recommend.

Our visit to Cafe Marlayne was most enjoyable. We had to wait a short while for our table but did not detract from our evening. It was very busy being near Christmas but the food was delicious, well presented and we thought excellent value for money. Would certainly go again.

Food was wonderful. The steak was perfectly cooked and I'nm fussy about steak being overdone and ruined. Service with a smile despite being extremely busy. Staff were a little hassled as diners queued out of the door on a windy and wet night. Perhaps a little better organisation on the seating would have been better for those who were waiting. Still worth another visit.

The food at the Cafe Marlayne is superb. The choice was excellent and cooked to perfection. The service wasn't the best I've known, and the fact we turned up on time but our table wasn't ready and they made us feel it was our fault wasn't a welcoming start! But they were efficient. If you like good food which is reasonably priced, we certainly recommend it.

Extremely good value Saturday lunch - lovely room that married traditional with a very clean, modern feel and quite exceptional food. Very reasonable wine list too!

Cafe Marlayne is a real find. Beautiful, simple food with excellent ingredients prepared with obvious gusto. The tuna carpaccio was out of this world (and I have had it on every continent!). Only complaint was the steak that was overdone, but they graciously prepared a new one. Excellent presentation of vegetables (in a bowl in the middle of the table so each guest can have as much or little as they like) Bravo!

We phoned to say we would be late and it was not a problem. It is much larger then it's sister restaurant and was quite quiet but the food was excellent. I would recommend both Cafe Marlayne restaurants without hesitation. The black pudding and scallop starter was superb. Generous portions left no room for dessert. Great!!!

Excellent food at a great price! Truly good value. Properly cooked food, subtle flavours, al-dente veg. All spot on! Only needs to be busier for atmosphere and when the word gets out it will be! It was a Tuesday night in late October mind you! Will be back again.

Cafe Marlayne is a delight to visit. You can be guaranteed a meal of pure pleasure and simplicity to remember at an affordable price, outshining more established restaurants. You will be back.
