I would strongly recommend a visit to Cafe Mao. They have a great selection of interesting meal options and take care in displaying the dietary content of each dish. The staff are warm and friendly while not being imposing.

Cafe Mao offers excellent far eastern dishes in a bright, buzzy atmosphere which makes a pleasant change from more traditionally styled chinese restaurants. 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine for £50.

Glasgow Cafe Mao. Overall I found this restaurant very good indeed. For the money spent it was great value and the Malaysian chicken was gorgeous. Would go again definitely. Oh and get a bowl of shrimp crackers great alternative to prawn crackers...

The restaurant was a bit bright & the side dishes a little tasteless however the wine, service and main meals were all excellent. 5 people dined here for less than £100 (which included wine). Would recommend

Main courses were good, but lacking in atmosphere for a Saturday night.

Cafe Mao is a fantastic restaurant in the merchant city area of Glasgow, surrounded by great bars . The staff were fantastic and really made it an ejoyable night. We were celebrating my birthday and friends arranged a cake, which staff brough to table after the meal. We weren't rushed at all and staff were always around to help. Food was delicious and would recommend salmon or lemon sole main courses. A must try if in Glasgow.

A tad disappointing, if truth be told. Food was pleasant if unspectacular. Went there with my fiancee, but I would suggest this is an ideal place for a group meal maybe prior to a night out- it certainly has a more 'cafe' feel ( as the name would suggest !).
