About Budokan - Clifton
Budokan’s Clifton branch follows on from the runaway success of the Bristol City Centre branch with more of the same good quality Pan Asian food served with communal dining in mind. Head upstairs to enjoy views of the surrounding area on one side of you and chefs preparing your meal in the theatre kitchen on the other. The easy formula of long benches and orange glow is also continued from Budokan’s City restaurant. Lovers of Asian cuisine can save hundreds in air fares by sampling the near-as-damn-it authenticity of favourite dishes from Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia made with fresh, GM-free ingredients and served with the eye, as well as the stomach and tastebuds, in mind.

From the ease of booking the table online, to the excellent food, great service and reasonable cost, the whole experience was really enjoyable and would definitely recommend this venue.

Budokan's central - if slightly dubious position above Sainsburry's - and its back alley staircase entrance were slightly foreboding but fortunately your expereince goes uphill from there. Even slightly cliched surroundings and shabby menus cant mask an excellent range of Sushis, soups, noodles and exotic delicacies all garnished simply and served promptly. Their set menus are excellent value and a good place to take a party within easy reach of the Whiteladies cocktail bars.Review
have to say we had a lovely evening, though we probably got there a little early. the food was delicious but watch out for teh grated ginger - stupidly i mistook it for ham and took a large helpful only for my mouth to be set on fire!!! its probably a place to go with a group of friends rather than just 2 of you. but none the less we had a great catch up as the ambience was just right for us to be able to enjoy teh food, and hear eachother.Visitors
