We visited Brownes in Dublin on a weekend away. The food was good, service and facilities excellent but just felt that it was more formal and expensive than it needed to be. nice enough place though.

We visited with work colleagues on a Tues night arriving early which was not a problem for the staff who were incredibly attentive at all times. My colleague who had declined ordering a starter but then had to have one when the starters arrived found his order delivered in record time - superb service! The food was good quality modern irish although we were not expecting the Christmas menu. The ambience was businesslike with the majority of diners talking shop. It improved with a little music.

I booked Brownes in St Stephen's Green in Dublin for a nice dinner with my best friend for a weekend away in Dublin. Due to being stuck in traffic in a cab we arrived around 20 minutes late but this was no problem at all for them. I opted for the pork for my main which was, I can honestly say, the best pork I have tasted in a long time! The apple crumble and custard was lush, the staff were very helpful and the service was nice and quick. I would definately recommend this restaurant to anyone.
