About Britannia Spice
The luxury ocean liner decor is a tribute to the retired Royal Britannia, moored a few steps away. The surprising menu is a unique amalgam of Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Thai, North Indian, Sri Lankan and European dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients by award winning chefs. Suggestions: enjoy Bangladeshi Special Chicken, cooked with prawns in a rich, mild sauce, or Himalayan Momo, a traditional meat dish. Or mix and match - try a side order of bhindi bhajee with your roast chicken. Eager, knowledgeable wait staff are happy to describe unfamiliar dishes and make suggestions. One of a kind - won Best Restaurant in Scotland in The Good Curry Guide.

Dining there with 8 friends for the first time as a birthday surprise for my husband, we could all see why the restaurant was called Britannia SPICE! The food had a very definite kick to it though this didnt detract from the very good quality. All our friends enjoyed their mealsReview
The food and staff were nice.I have had better but it was good and we would go back.Neither of us liked the main dish we order and they were very good and took it of our bill. Worth a visitReview
Britannia Spice - intersting menu, excellent meal, with a few reservations: perhaps a little less ghee/oil in the pilau rice, and on the naan bread (the latter also carrying a liberal sprinkling of sesame seed), and maybe a little more meat in the curries. The major dissapointment was the desserts menu - the usual multi-coloured frozen concoctions ordered by every other Indian restaurant; whatever happened to fresh fruit salad or the like? Despite this, we would return.Visitors
