Another old Kölsch Brauhaus with a long tradition in Cologne is the Sion Brauhaus. Since 1318, the Sion Brauhaus resides here in the old building located in the Altstadt and serves Kölsch beer and typical "Brauhaus kitchen" to its guests. The Sion kitchen is especially known for traditional dishes like "Rievkooche" (fried rasped potatoes with applesauce) or sausages. If you're in the Altstadt, don't miss the chance to sample another kind of Kölsch (there are 20 different kinds and breweries in Cologne) in a historic old Brauhaus that was originally reconstructed after the destruction in 1942.
