About Biazo
Biazo is a bistro-style restaurant in Hale Lane, Edgeware, serving traditional African fare in modern, stylish surrounds. The décor is chic and cosmopolitan with minimalist wooden floors, mocha walls and dark wooden tables accented with bamboo shoots and authentic African artefacts. Biazo is always bustling with couples, young families and business types, and the staff are super-attentive and friendly. We love the jollof rice – rice blended with peppers, tomatoes and spices, spinach stew with pounded yams – which have a thicker consistency than traditional mash, and suya - barbecued meat with African herbs and spices.

Quite a chic and funky looking restaurant. Unfortunately not alot of people in on a wednesday evening so that affected the ambience a little. Its a new restaurant so I can understand that. By way of food, this is edgware's hidden gem for all those African food lovers. Particularly the Efo Riro vegetable dish and the whole grilled fish with pepper sauce and plantain -HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**** A little pricy but not much more than other african restaurants and this taste of africa is worth it.Review
I am no expert on African cuisine, but, reassuringly, the many African customers at Biazo, a happily different addition to Edgware, seemed to approve. For me, it was a very pleasant introduction. The food was fresh and tasty, and fragrant with African spices (an acquired taste), especially the smokey jollof. Service was relaxed on a Sunday lunchtime, if occasionally disorganized, and we were not rushed. Beware the chillis; even mild is pretty hot! Note no alcohol is served. Well worth a try.Review
I went to Biazzo last night with my family and had a really nice time. After a family of 3 left we were the only people in there-great for service, no as great for ambience. What we liked is how much friendly information and advice we were given about which African foods to choose and what went together well. Though some of those choices didn''t go down that well on my tame English palate (the snails for example), but all in all it was nice to try new things and I''ve found I really like goat!Visitors
