Pleasant evening at Bartella's, friendly helpful staff in a big, smart venue, not very busy - but it was wednesday night, Drinks in comfortable bar area - seated in the conservatory for dinner. Not an exhaustive menu but decent food & portions. Tasty risotto - although slightly overcooked, my wife had a well presented sea bass dish that was very good. Nice selection of very fairly priced wines - also available by the glass. All in all the amiable manager and his staff made sure we will return.

Dined at Bartellas in Furze Hill last night and found the ambiance very welcoming, staff friendly and food nicely presented at a very good value for money. Will definitely come back and recommend.

Bartellas - Furze Hill is a large airy light restaurant. The menu appears to struggle between a part a la carte offering and pub dishes. I opted for Pizza which was of a good standard, but wasn’t spicy as advertised, my girlfriend had fish cakes which were a little stodgy and too much for 1 person. I felt the main course was brought out too soon after the starter (within 30 seconds) and then we had to wait 25 minutes for the dessert. The price of the meal was very reasonable. Would recommend.

We have been to Bartellas before so generally we like the place, we went this Saturday my wife had Italian Mixed Plate and found them sparse and a little un interesting I had broad beans on brucheta I found they lacked taste, we both had tuna fish cakes for main and these made up for our rather poor first course, my wife had strawberry ricotta for pudding and i had cheese board, the cheese was excellent my wife did not enjoy hers however. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the staff are very friendly.

2nd visit to Bartella's but on a Saturday Night - last time I rated as an 8 but said how quiet it was on a Wed. This time the place was busy, but what a disappointment with the food. The atmosphere was good, the venue is ideal but kitchen staff can't cope with what must have been over 100 covers -maybe only a viable as a weekday venue - then you lose the ambience - probably won't go again - pity.
