About Baltic
With its glass atrium, high ceilings and white walls, Baltic has a light, open, spacious feel. The warm, neutral colours and pale wooden beams give the place a natural, organic feel. At this Waterloo restaurant Jan Woroniecki of Wodka and Chez Kristof fame offers a selection of hearty Eastern European dishes. Give your gullet an an Eastern bloc party with dishes like lamb goulash, haunch of venison with honey roasted pears and sour cherries and steamed mussels with bacon and beer. The bar boasts over 35 different flavours of Polish and Russian vodka as well as wine and bar food. The other great draw is the jazz – on Sunday nights Baltic plays host to established and up coming artists.

I thought it was absolutely fabulous and I have no doubts my colleagues thought likewise. In fact, when I stated that I was going to go back to my desk and send invitations out for Christmas 2008 at the same place, those within earshot all said it would be great! Thanks to everyone who contributed to our lovely lunch.

Baltic is still providing great polish and eastern european influenced food - particularly lovely in winter - in a buzzy environment. my only quibble is the acoustics of the main room which make it really hard ot follow a conversation with more than one person - this could be fixed!Visitors
