About Babylon at The Roof Gardens
Top of the world, ma! If you haven’t heard of London’s infamous Roof Gardens you’ve clearly not been listening. Babylon is one of the capital’s most exciting venues, with incredible views across the city from one hundred feet above Kensington High Street. But you don’t need to be on the top floor to enjoy a dining experience with a difference. From the moment you enter Babylon’s restaurant to be greeted by the stunning fish tank lobby you know you’re in for a tropical treat. The contemporary interior combines classic table dressing with inset fireplaces, sweeping windows and a light, airy atmosphere. The food meanwhile is delightfully, mouthwateringly British through and through.
Please note: Entrance to the restaurant is on Derry Street and dining on the terrace is available at lunch and dinner times - weather permitting.
Please also note that this restaurant requires credit card details to secure a reservation of 6 or more people - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. Late cancellation (within 48 hours) or a no-show will incur a charge of £20 per person.
Opening hours:
Mon – Sat: 12pm - 3pm & 7pm - 11pm Sun 12pm – 3:15pm
If the tropical fish weren’t enough, head for the gardens to drink with the flamingos.

We have been trying to get a table at Babylon for ages but it always seems fully booked. Now I have been - I can see why. Unlike some places that rely on other customers to get their atmosphere, Babylon was very welcoming, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The menu was original, service was prompt and friendly, (with a cheeky bit of familiarity, just how I like it) but the view is the highlight of the meal. Looking over the rooftops of W. London gives the room such a bright, airy feelReview
Babylon at the roof garden si one of those places that you really should go to at least once to expereince the fab setting and views. We went for lunch on a cold january day and we could see all across London. The service is a bit hit and miss but friendly. the food is beautifully presented if a little complicated but with a reasonable wine is pretty good value. Do go and see the amazing loos! Would recomend.Review
Babylon at Roof Gardens, was excellent, done 3 for 26 offer which had a reasonable choice. Food was very well cooked, and service very attentive. It was a Monday night after xmas, so restaurant was very quiet qhich was a little shame, but even the staff apologised for this which was a nice touch. Fantastic setting though, and would be lovely in the summer. Would definitely recommend for the quality of the food aloneVisitors
