Tucked away underneath the Charing Cross railway arches, adjacent to the footbridge between Waterloo Station and Shell Centre, is one of the South Bank's best kept secrets. From the outside, Azzurro looks like a small, often overcrowded, bar. But inside it opens up into a very atmospheric restaurant, with good quality Italian food at affordable prices.
