Nestled inside the Andaz Hotel, 1901 boasts an enviable location in the heart the City, just moments from Liverpool Street station. The building itself dates back to 1884, but the restaurant’s interior combines modern and contemporary décor with classical pillars and a spectacular stain-glassed dome in the ceiling. Informal seating and a cocktail bar are the main focus of the room, making it an ideal venue for casual dinners, business lunches and intimate gatherings. Head Chef Dominic Teague takes a fresh and dynamic approach to fine dining and his menu features innovative dishes using home-grown British produce. Guests can also enjoy tastings from the wine and cheese cellar which acts as a backdrop to the room.
Please note - lunchtimes book up very quickly at this restaurant. Try and book at least 1 week in advance.A credit card is required to reserve a table of five people or more, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. A fee of £30 per person will be charged for a cancellation within 24 hours or a no show.Last orders for food is 9:45pm every day.

great food. atmosphere OK - very much a venue for City workers. aurora is very nice for a treat, but expensive.

When to Aurora last night for dinner. Arrived and spent the next 5 hours eating and drinking. It might have been less had we not had to wait so long for our drinks at the bar. The bar staff completely ignored me for 5 minutes and it wasn't busy! However the waiting staff were much, much better and knew their stuff when it came to the food and drink. Some were a bit to quick to try and remove empty glasses from the tabel which weren't! And at £9 for a G&T I had to wrestle it back, twice. V.Good.Review
This was the second time I'd been, after a two year gap. Food was still excellent, particularly what drew me back... the cheese trolley.Visitors
