We went for the 3 course lunch including glass of champagne at the Athenaeum which was quite a good deal as we left feeling quite stuffed and content. The decor is very sweet and flowery, not as stylish as it looks on the Toptable photo. Staff was very friendly although you could tell they were not necessarily professionally trained. Odd choice of photos of flower and food shows on the walls, but all in all atmosphere was cosy and warm. Starter and main was good, desert a little ordinary.Review
We took advantage of the Top Table offer and I'm glad we did. Service and food were excellent. It was fairly quiet being sunday lunch time but very relaxed and easy going.Review
The special offer at the Athenaeum was excellent value for money at £24pp as it included a glass of pleasant champagne, coffee & delicious truffels. Nice food throughout and lovely desserts. Attentive service & nice surroundings ensure we will dine there again.Visitors
