About AOC
l'AOC is named for those important little letters you find on your bottle of wine, not the grands vins, but the darned drinkable ones of more quotidian price. This small, welcoming restaurant is like a proper country eaterie, but in the heart of lively Blvd St Germain. There are tiles on the floor, charming prints and cookware adorn the walls, yet white tablecloths and smart service. You generally choose your plate of mixed starters, charcuterie and the like, from the buffet laid out on the polished antique chest-of-drawers. Then move on to one of the wonderful grilled dishes that are the speciality of the house. As you might suspect, the wine list is well worth exploration.

Booked AOC for dinner very last minute while in Paris for our anniversary, and very glad we did. It felt like a real find, with flawless service and excellent hearty food! Something that felt a little more off the tourist trail...Highly recommended!

We booked via Toptable and were not disappointed. The food is traditional rustic French and vary varied. Staff are efficient anf friendly. The room was a little noisy but that was mainly due to one large party of 20. We where the only English people in the restaurant which was nice as Paris seemed full of us during our weekend.Review
L'aoc is great "home cooked" food from a couple who obviously love what they are doing. It's great food with no nonsense. You can't beat it for the price. Easy to find: just across the river Seine from Bastille.Visitors
