Anupana Fine Dining and Seafood Restaurant’s name conveniently describes what to expect from these simple, elegant surroundings rather succinctly. The uncomplicated premise under which Anupana operates is to serve modern takes on Indian seafood in a graceful manner inspired by two famous Mumbai eateries, the first being Trisha, renowned for its startling and sumptuous take on fish dishes, the second Indigo, which dazzled with its use of traditional Indian art forms in a chic, contemporary style – something you’ll find reflected in the décor of Anupana itself. Head chef Mr. Uttam Dey’s extensive knowledge informs a specially created menu in which all seafood used is sourced freshly from the Billingsgate fish market, just a stone’s throw away.

The name 'Anupana' is derived from a Hindi word meaning ‘water dwellers’. What this has to do with seafood, we're not sure… oh.

This is the second time we have eaten here. It is expensive as portions (especially of the monkfish) are quite dainty. However the lamb curry (which can be spced as hot or as mild as you wish) is exceptional, as is the beef with anise , which I had last time. The room is a little characterless but very elegant and the service very welcoming. It's really all about the food which is original and absolutely delicious; We will keep going back!Review
Fairly new restaurant. Overall service & food was satisfactory. Unfortunately, the best dish (lamb) was sold out. Weird because it was early lunch & d restaurant was practically empty. Tho there's room for improvements, they're open & eager to improve & appreciate the feedback provided. A convenient place for a quick bite. Great in the summer & dinner as there's direct views of the wharf. Abit pricy without discounts tho. Probably check out the place again once they're more established.Review
