A group of us ate at Anthony's on Christmas Eve. We were disappointed in every way. No atmosphere, not enough staff, food was below average and served cold, half of us did not eat the food. The service so poor that we asked for the 12.5% service they had the cheek to add on the bill to be removed. (we halved it). The waiter argued about it, which was very annoying, and threw a strop by telling us that the downstairs bar/club was now closed and we had to leave, even though it was not yet 11pm.

Antony's was a really good value night out - the meals were all nice and very reasonably priced. It did take a while for the meals to come out, but we weren't in a rush so it didn't really matter. Nice atmosphere, helpful and friendly waiter and a nice menu. All in all, we would recommend it!

Enjoyed the meal, even though we decided to visit 4pm on a wet Sunday afternoon so restaurant near empty and therefore somewhat lacking in atmosphere. A few dishes were very good (goats cheese and pear starter and pancakes with orange liquor sauce desert) otherwise would say food was averagely good.

I had high hopes of Antony's, which were in many ways fulfilled. The service was superb, ambience very good, soup starters (leek and potato for my friend, pea for me), delicious. My friend's goulash also passed muster, but my poached salt beef with horseradish sauce was probably the most disgusting dish I've ever had. So go by all means. It's excellent value. Just don't order the poached salt beef.

Beautiful food with lovely touches such as the free vegetables and dip when you arrive and the massive bowl of jellybeans when you pay. It was a very romantic setting with candlelit ambiance. Very reasonable prices, £60 for 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine.

My husband and I went to Anthony's and were pleasantly surprised by the romantic ambiance. The starter -pears with goat's cheese and mushrooms- was great. As a main course I had roasted duck which was a bit dry, but really A LOT. My husband's Polish beef was ok, though less than half the portion as compared to my duck. The (red) wine was very good and not too expensive, although we got another year than was on the menu. Nice place when you don't want to spend to much for a nice evening!

Antonys is a very friendly, very welcoming little restaurant in a quiet part of Bayswater. The food is nicely presented, simple and filling - definitely good value in London terms. The wine list is fairly uninteresting, but serviceable, and the whole experience left me and my friend happy and satisfied.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
