About Alcazar
Sir Terence Conran's bright, buzzing, and wonderfully stylish eateries have now conquered Paris with Alcazar. Set in a 17th-century real tennis court, and once a notorious transvestite bar and nightclub, the space has been transformed with a twelve metre high glass roof, trendy decor and lighting and a changing series of photographic exhibits. The Mezzanine Bar is adored, not only for its heart-stopping drinks but also for the sounds its DJs mix. Food is French contemporary. Starters include wild duck terrine and fig chutney, mains include foie gras-stuffed farm chicken with pan sauteed mushrooms, and puddings include liquorice-flavoured raspberry vacherin.

From the front of the house to the bar to the dining and opera amazing experience.Review
We were slightly dubious about going to a British owned restaurant in Paris but L'Alcazar did not disappoint. The food was very good - verging on excellent and the service first class, professional and friendly. An excellent Puilly Fume on the wine list was not overpriced. Great Ambience - our only complaint - we were on a nice circular table for four - but there were five of us! Intimate!Review
I love Alcazar. From its cool looks to the expertly executed and innovative French food. There are also music nights, but the Sunday I visited wasn't one of them. I ordered from the 3 course menu, and everything was delicious, and was not pared down in any way. I loved the roast lamb shoulder, the most tender piece of lamb I have had for a long time.Visitors
