Went there again last night and as usual the food never fails to impress me. We also had the dessert which was amazing.

The Larder is a great find. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal last night - the calves liver with red onion was notably good. I really liked the spacious, open-plan feel to the restaurant - tables were well-spaced. Finally, the service was excellent; warm and attentive. When they forgot the 50% discount, they rectified the situation quickly and apologetically. I'll definitely return to The Larder - especially with a meal deal.

The Larder had absolutely gorgeous food - the Steak and Ale pudding was to die for, as was the vegetable paella.

My date and I were impressed with the Larder, I had the crispy duck starter which was quite delicious, followed by the slow roasted belly pork (you need to understand that when cooked properly this is my favourite food, bar none), I wasn't disappointed, the expression 'culinary orgasm' springs to mind. For desert we shared a good competent Crème brûlée. My date was pleased with her crispy squid starter and Mussels main, although would have appreciated a plate to put the discarded shells on.

The Larder is a nice place. The food really good quality, prepared honestly and not overly complex. A good choice on the menu with well sourced ingredients. The decor is simple, for such a vast space and all the hard finishes lead to awful acoustics. The restaurant was barley half full yet really noisy. However the friendly service and delicous food more than made up for it. Would reccomend going with a top table offer!
