I am sure the Tavern on the Green looks amazing thoughout the year, but when we went, in December and it was decorated for Christmas, it was breathtaking. The was a nice variety on the menu, and we enjoyed what we ordered very much. The service was excellent, the staff were very firendly and helpful.

This was my second time dining at Tavern on the green, and both times were amazing. The food was perfectly cooked however there is always too much of it and I have ended up leaving loads both times but there is a good selection on the menu. The staff are very friendly and want to talk to you and you do not feel rushed in any way. Setting is amazing especially when it starts to get dark and the garden lights are on. Would definately visit again when next visiting new york

Tavern on the green was poor and tacky - food was substandard!

Food was excellent and the restaurant setting / decoration was very good. The only minus on the whole evening was how tightly they pack the tables into the main restaurant, not a major point but you do feel your part of a big group rather than one of a couple.

Tavern on the Green - what a great location, excellent friendly service, attentive but discreet.Great choice of dishes and good quality food, reasonably priced. Perfect on a lovely summer evening. Look out for the topiary

the tavern on the green has some impressive interior decoration - sadly this doesn't make up for the less-than-average flavour of the food and the blase waiting service. won't be returning when next in new york

Good food, not exceptional. Good service, look for captain and service tips. Main reason for going is the setting in Central Park. Worth a visit.

Tavern on the Green was our choice of restaurant after seing Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. It's one of the more famous places that we visited and it was nice but to be honest it was a bit chinzy. The food was good and the service was also however overpriced compared to other places we visited. A guy also came round to take your photo...nice but a bit tacky!!!
