Food at silka was good but not amazing. Service was rather rude though that could have been because we were a large group. There are much better places at more reasonable prices.

Silka is very convenient if you are in Borough Market. Great location and dining room is very modern. However, the staff were very pushy with the orders - trying to make you order more than you want or need. My brother-in-law ordered Tandoori King Prawn which came in a huge plate with copious amounts of lettuce but only 4 prawns - not cheap at £10.50! Would probably visit again as it's so convenient but I wouldn't rave about it.

The food at Silka is great, it is a real shame about the service. If I go back, I'll make sure I take enough cash to pay as its quicker, and easier to remove that cheeky automatic service charge.

Excellent food, good value and convenient location near London Bridge Station - will definitely go again!

The food at Silka was excellent. That, however, would be the only reason to go. The service was uninspiring and unfriendly which only added to the complete lack of atmosphere.

The menu is a bit pretentious and the music is just that bit too loud, which means you end up half-shouting at the people across the table from you. However, the food itself is delicious - not that oily, hot but tasteless stuff that most Indian restaurants serve. The spices are balanced and rich in flavour, everything tastes fresh and the meat is moist, tender and cooked to perfection.

Because it's in a basement, Silka is a bit gloomy - and the pictures on the walls look very amateurish. The service was not brilliant - a bit slow - although very friendly. This might have been because they had two large parties in that lunchtime. But although that's a reason it shouldn't be an excuse! The food was very tasty though and the 'healthy' options varied and interesting. Would recommend.

Silka was booked in a rush on a wet Wednesday night for a quick supper while waiting for children. On arrival the reception was warm and friendly but it would have been nice to have some windows. The food was delicious except for my husband's starter of spinach and potato kebabs which were bland to say the least. This was more than compensated by the mouth watering main courses. The waiting staff were keen to explain all the unusual dishes and my husband loved the mirrors in the loos!
