Warm, friendly atmosphere. Pleasant restaurant set in pub surroundings. Cosy and the food was excellent

We went to Ruskin's for lunch with a client. We arrived a little early (midday) so it was a bit dead but the place soon filled up. Food was very good and nicely presented, but service was a bit disjointed, even when we were the only ones in the restaurant. Good value for money.

Second outing here for lunch and it was really very pleasant. The Tandoori Halibut is great, and yesterday had the chicken - both dishes were very good - well worth a try.

Ruskins, in Mark Lane was brilliant. Great food, great service, great value. The only criticism was that our waitress spoke broken English.

Ruskin's is always a good choice and does not fail to please customers time and time again. Food is excellent as ever, we managed to get the last two portions of raspberry cheesecake which was absolutely delicious.

Seven of us dined at Ruskin's on a Wednesday lunchtime. On the plus side: we liked the venue, the menu was varied/appealing, food quality was high and prices acceptable (arguably a little pricey though). On the minus side: attentive service was marred by communication issues and an error with our order; waitresses spoke only broken English. Also, no atmosphere until after 1300; restaurant was empty prior to this! Overall, worth checking out and a good choice for an expensed working lunch.

The restaurant wasn't overly busy for lunch but the service was under a lot of strain (for no apparent reason). We had to wave our arms about quite a bit to get any attention. The food was decent, although certainly not spectacular. The main reason for choosing it was its location, which is very convenient for city folk.

Ruskins made for a very enjoyable lunch. Being a Monday it was a bit quiet which took away some of the ambience and also meant that the service was slightly over attentive. However, the food was suprb and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
