I have lived in Kensington for 10 years and have walked past a thousand times, and how I wish I had made the effort to eat there before. It is simple Italian food, done well without any pretension. It is so good I went two nights in a row! The fried mozzarella is delicious, and the spagetti with tomatoes, aubergines, mozzarella in prawns (which comes encased in tin foil for some reason!) is superb. Far better than the overpriced Kensington restaurants, yummy.

We were a large party visiting theRomano resaturant on a Tuesday evening. In fairness to the propriertor we may have had a better ambience if seated downstairs. Upstairs was noisy, sultry and the noise level from the three other tables was unbearable. Everyone was shouting to get heard. The food was served promptly and the portion sizes were adequate. The food was very average.

A sweet little restaurant in close vacinity to the high street, which is very handy after a days shopping. We went to Romano quite late on in the evening, so the restaurant was empty, meaning that there was no atmosphere, and they had run out of some of the things on the menu, but on the whole a good dining experience. Service was very fast.

The food at Romano's was lovely, though because we went early in the evening we were the only diners. The waiters were efficient but not particularly friendly. I would return but I would try other places in the area first.

Good unpretentious food at a very reasonable price. A nice cute local Italian basically. It's not gourmet, but I didn't expect it to be. Just as expected, like a good tin of Ronseal! Very good service from authentic real life Italians of the like I have never met before!! We went on Valentines too, which can often disappoint - they didn't.

Small, intimate restaurant run by a traditional Italian family. Great if you want authentic food. I'll definitely be back for another bowl of pasta.

WOW! Unaware of the name, this was a gamble @ 1st & even more riskier as I booked it for NYE'07! As soon as we arrived my nerves settled. No sooner were we seated to our small but romantic table & menus & drinks arrived. The nicest touch of the evening was Mr Romano taking a personal interest in all the diners. Also worth mentioning is Air Canada had taken the WHOLE 1st floor! A little tight for personal space but def won our hearts.Classy Kensington meets informal & casual dining in true style.
