Refettorio - Excellent quality of food, good service, and we had the chance to try truffle for the first time ! It was excellent but of cos we had to pay a high price for it, but for the experience, think it was worth it !

We enjoyed our pre Christmas lunch at Refettorio - a relatively light affair: interesting Italian cheeses and well-made pasta. We were surrounded by men in grey suits but we reckon that's to be expected in this Blackfriars location. Recommended for well-presented genuine Italian food.

I recently visited Refettorio at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The food was delicious, we enjoy pumpkin ravioli. But, the portions were tiny. I am not a big person (female, 5.4, 9 stones) and I was still so hungry I ordered a second portion of pasta. Which got expensive! While the food was delicious, 7 pieces of pasta simply does not satisfy for the money.

Refettorio- Food was good and the sevice was v.good but can't justify the price. Worth a visit if your feeling the need to spend some dough. Also a bar below called Nineteen this was nice and well designed but also pricey.

Food was lovely and well worth it given the 15% discount. They did forget to take this off the bill initially so do look out for that! I had the aubergine starter followed by the steamed turbot and then tiramisu .... all of which were lovely. I was drinking sadly, but with just one glass of wine for my partner, the bill came to £50 a head WITH the discount so not a cheap night out!
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
