Red Onion proved to live up to the majority of previous reviews. The service was just right, attentive but in no way obtrusive. The range and quality of the food was good. Would recommend.

Good range of tasty food, well presented, and we had an excellent bottle of wine. My roast pumpkin risotto was very good, but the inclusion of a lot of whole hazelnuts seemed a bit strange. But otherwise a very good, reasonably priced meal in pleasant surroundings with friendly staff, so I'd highly recommend it.

A very relaxed atmosphere in the Red Onion Restaurant, Glasgow. All of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals - service great and staff very pleasant. Would most certainly return.

What a great meal in a very undestated, but perfectly formed little place. Great service, my thanks to the swam of waiters who made sure our glasses and our bellies were full all night. Gent toilet area needs a bit of TLC and it'd be nice to see a few more French red wines in the cellar, but the house red was a success. We'll all be back to try some more of that delicious menu, Mmmmmmmmmmm!

I was visiting Glasgow and found Red Onion on Top Table I would throughly recommend this restaurant and wouldn't hesitate upon visiting it again. The food, ambience and staff were excellent especially the Seafood Pasta which was divine

The Red Onion seems to be a hugely popular venue you definitely need to book at the weekends. However my most recent visit on a Wednesday evening was rather disappointing. The restaurant was fairly quiet and the food was a tad bland. Perhaps i just made a bad choice!?!?
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
