Our dinner at the Rajpoot was, on the whole, enjoyable but was spoiled by a diner on our neighbouring table whose conversation both in its volume and content distracted us from the food and the general experience. The only blame that can be levelled at the restaurant for this negative input was the closeness of the tables but in fairness this person's volume would bridge most inter table spaces! The food and service were more than adequate but I fear I was unable to enjoy them to the full.

The prices at Rajpoot appear expensive at first but then you notice that rice is included with every main dish. The setting is wonderful, very different from all other Indian restaurants I've been to. It's actually pretty posh, set in a traditional town house in Clifton with silver cutlery, luscious padded dining chairs and huge windows overlooking the downs. The food was above average as well. i would recommend this restaurant and would go again.

First time at this restaurant and the experience was good. Tasty food, good portions, and nicely presented. We were surprised to see how small the restaurant was and our table was near the door into it. When a better table became free, in the window, we were asked if we would like to move there before serving our food. Charming staff too. Only downside was the parking and as we ordered white wine, a cooler would have been nice.

The stag went on without me so feedback from team was very good, albeit after they had consumed a number of beers so feedback could always be dubious. Mind you, as an experience bunch of mid thirties men who had partaked in many curry retauarants, they know what they are talking about so i gave it a good rating and would go back

Rajpoot is definitely upmarket of your standard Indian, with a pleasant ambience and sophisticated decor. We dined under the 2-4-1 deal which meant that it was excellent value for money; usual prices are a little on the expensive side despite including rice. The meat dishes included less meat than I would have liked, though it was beautifully cooked. Our group included a vegetarian and a vegan, both of whom were impressed with the different-from-the-usual choices available for them.

I have visited the Rajpoot - Bristol three times, each time ordering something new and each time I'm left amazed the food is excellent quite possible the best Indian food I've had served outside India, the flavours are whole and spices are fresh. I highly recommend Rajpoot's Onion Bhaji, and there chicken Jalfrezi. Hhowever I'm sure you wont be disappointed with any of there food.
