This is a delightful old inn. They have a limited menu, which they acknowledge, and must have a few items for guests who may not want a "grand" meal. But what they have is very well executed and enjoyable. The pacing is excellent and they assume you have the table for the evening. It appears to be a popular place for students to meet their parents, or potential employers/tutors to meet their favorite candidates/proteges ...perhaps for the greatest benefit of the hosts. The lobster was excellent.

Amazing food and lovely setting. Very pricey - I took six friends out for a special treat and its not cheap. However, it was a grat evening and I can't really fault it. Old Pasonage is the best restaurant in Oxford!

Booked for my partner's birthday, had a very enjoyable evening, good food and wine and service at the right pace - not too fast, not too slow.

We visited the Old Parsonage Hotel restaurant at 6pm on a friday evening, so missed the friday night live jazz that starts at 8pm. However we sat in the private dining room (The Library) which has only 3 tables, which was exclusive to us for the first hour, which we loved. There is also a dining room and quite a pleasant outside area if the weather suits. The food was first class, we had all the appetizers, and the service very attentive and informed. It is quite expensive though.

Wonderful food ambience and service - a great venue for lunch. Very conveninetly placed but with real charm and out of the hubub of the main thoroughfares.

The food at the Old Parsonage Oxford was nice but not great. The service was fine but slightly ameturish. Nothing was actually wrong - it just did not really justify the price on the bill.

produce and cooking very good. Lobsters petit ,would have paid more for larger. deserts lacking in imagination, rather predictable but dont be discouraged. a fine evening out. tip :- ask for tables with padded arm chairs(they have both)

This is the 4th time I have dined at the Old Parsonage Hotel. On each occasion we have loved the ambience of the resturant. Lovely patio in the summer and roaring fire in the winter. Both the food and the service were excellent. Even offering a dog bowl on the paito when I arrived with my dog on one occasion.

Visited Old Parsonage on a Friday and therefore had the opportunity to enjoy live jazz with our meal. Because we mentioned that Gees had given us a complementary drink with toptable, we were brought complementary cocktails! Ambience was pleasant although felt a little crowded. Service was very good and food arrived quite quickly. The starter of truffle and butter bean dip was delicious -the main courses - lemon sole and calves liver- although nicely presented were a little on the bland side
