Three of us went to Ognisko for an early lunch. We were the first customers there but the ambience was warm and comfortable. Service was very good, unhurried but efficient. We did not feel rushed, but did not have to wait too long for each course. We expected more specifically Polish cuisine and were a bit disappointed that there were so few Polish dishes, but that was the only negative. Otherwise, recommended for a relaxed meal in restrained and dignified surroundings.

Highly recommended both for its food and for the helpful and friendly, but not intrusive, level of service.

Ognisko met the high expectations I had for it wonderfully. Food and service are excellent, the waiters were attentive (although there were only a few tables to watch at the time) and the price was reasonable for two with two courses each and a bottle of wine.

Certainly a unique dining experience. Service was very good and the wine list varied enough for most palettes. Menu was varied with an eccletic mix of Polish and other cuisines, but overall it was over-priced for the quality of food, particularly the starters. Food was also served luke-warm, which personnally I found quite irratating.

Ognisko probably deserves more attention than it probably gets. I say "probably" in both circumstances because we went quite late in the evening and it was virtually empty, but the one course we each had (pork/prune skewers for me, rabbit for him) both seemed lovingly prepared. Side vegetables were plentiful, and staff appeared friendly. The one tiny tiny criticism I have is that the waiter whisked our wine away with a quarter of an inch still left in the bottle! Oh well, we had had enough.

The food was very nice although I was disappointed there were so few traditional dishes on the menu. The setting was lovely though as we sat on the Terrace which backed onto a park.

Ognisko is a fantastic little polish restaurant in a lovely part of town, the meal was priced very reasonably considering the area and the food was really good i would reccomend it to all my friends, first time but very very impressed

This was my first time at Ognisko and the food was delicious. The service was good, although the waiters were hardly rushed off there feet as the restaurant was only about 15% full. They offer a decent wine list, we had a delightful Australian shiraz. This is a restaurant you can feel relaxed in. I can recommend it.
