We enjoyed our meal at Northbank. The food was classic and delicious. Downsides were the empty tables (but maybe this will change when word gets around), and the group of noisy, drunken lads at a nearby table.

Northbank Restaurant & Bar is going to be THE place to go in summertime. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food was good value for money and interesting.

Northbank has received mixed reviews in the press so I was apprehensive about taking my clients there however I am pleased to say it was lovely - buzzing and loud. The food was great - try the rice pudding, yum! They could improve their service though...it started off very very well but then became quite lax, which was irritating. Overall though I enjoyed it and it is great for a business lunch or a romantic dinner.

The restaurant was very quiet on a Saturday afternoon, but this was perfect for a family pre-Xmas dinner. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, great food and super location. We would definitely go back, especially on a weekend.

Northbank Restaurant & Bar - we arrived early, the staff were happy to find us a table. We then bumped into an old friends and had a drink, so they then found us yet another table overlooking the river to The Globe Theatre - very friendly and helpful. Pheasant breast on a base of red cabbage was a good size and tender, but bland could have easily passed for organic chicken or guinea fowl. Had a nice chat with the chef who said they have diffciulties getting suppliers to hang the game enough.

The Northbank Restaurant was very difficult to find, both my friend and I had taken separate taxis, the drivers of which had no idea of the location. Having said this, the restaurant itself is pretty, the views are a bonus and the staff are friendly and helpful and were happy to let us move tables for more comfort. It was however exceptionally quiet for a Friday night, only 3 couples in the restaurant, which is nice for a quiet romantic evening but not not for large groups seeking a lively place

We were all sad about the departure of the previous restaurant at this address, but the new incarnation, Northbank, more than makes up for it. An ideal spot for lunch in the city with a very reasonably priced set meal, this has an enviable river location, opposite the Tate Modern, excellent food and friendly service. We will try it soon for dinner and we have high hopes.

We were there the week before chistmas but despite the large tables of revellers and the fact that our waitrose told us she had only had 5 hours sleep she was utterly charming and invented a fabulous liqueur coffee for us. The food was what you would espect for the money and well done. Excellent for business lunches and great views.
