Nathaniels was disappointing for me. First impression was poor as going through the front door we had to squeeze past a guy at a table just to get into the restaurant. Once seated, a beer choice was given. The waiter returned to the table to say they only had one single bottle of cold beer on the premises which was Budweiser. Yuk! We ordered our meal and once again, the waiter returned to say that my partner's meal was unavailable. Limited choice of beer, limited choice of food, limited space.

My boyfriend and I went to Nathaniel's on a quiet Tuesday night. The atmosphere, despite there only being one other couple in the restaurant, was very welcoming, the food absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. The prices are not cheap so it's somwhere to go for a special occasion really; this does not, however, mean it wasn't great value for money - it really was! And we were even treated to a complimentary appetiser which was stunningly good. Nathaniel's gets a 'highly recommended'!

Nathaniels is well worth a visit the food was lovely and the service very good. We could recommend this venue for either a romantic dinner for two or a party to celebrate a special occuasion. The restaurant was fully booked when we visited but the staff managed to provide excellent service throughout.

This was not our first visit to Nathaniels. As on previous visits the staff were friendly and service attentive while not intrusive or over attentive. The menu had something for everyone in our group and all were pleased with their choices. The wine list is not extensive but once again there was a range to suit most tastes and at realistic priices. I can recommend Nathaniels to anyone who wants a good quality meal, attentive but not hurried service and a quiet, and initmate atmosphere.

Nathaniel’s was excellent. We went on the special offer, which caused some confusion, with the only other slight mar being the custard tart - more, soft pastry than custard and served with a superfluous ball of chocolate ice cream. The amuse-bouche was a great surprise. Starters were great, scallops with risotto and the confit of duck. Mains were excellent, best gnocchi I've had in years and good sized portions to boot. We’ll definitely be back.

We arrived early at Nathaniel's but were welcomed cordially and shown to our table immediately. All the waiters were attentive without being intrusive and the service was excellent. The presentation of food on the plate was imaginative and the cooking left nothing to be desired. the wine list provided ample choice and the bottle of white wine that we selected came to the table at the ideal temperature. We can't wait to repeat the experience of dining at Nathaniels!
