The Menier Chocolate Factory experience was a fantastic one! We had an amazing meal, it was a date and the setting was perfect for this - informal and intimate. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

I thought the Mernier Choclate factory was beautiful venue but I have to say I was really disappointed to find out that only half of the menu was actually available as they were changing the menu (24/11/07), this should have been made clear when we were booking. On the plus side the food we did get was really good and well presented. The service was pretty ok, I think it may have been suffering due to complaints about the limited menu but it is their job to deal with it.

We visited the Menier Chocolate Factory on a Saturday evening around 8:30pm. On arrival, it was almost empty, with only one other table occupied. However, it did get busier later on the evening. The food was very tasty. The portions were extremely generous, particularly the soups - very filling! The sage burnt butter which accompanied my main was to die for. And the crème brulee was also really good. The atmosphere was more relaxed than I was expecting so don't dress up too much.

Disappointingly, only a set menu was available at Menier Chocolate Factory - despite no mention at the time of booking. The restaurant was enjoyable, if a little dark, and they accommodated my request for a table by the window. The food was tasty, and there was no chance of us going hungry, but the quality was variable. A nice place for a family lunch, but I'm not sure I would go back in a hurry.

We visited the Chocolate Factory and found it to be a hidden gem in the heart of southark - The CF sources some of it's ingredients from nearby Borough Market so the food is fantastic. We were equally impressed by the relaxed atmosphere inside and the warm but not overly attentive service. We will definitely be returning. My wife says hold your nose when you go to the loo though.

Menier Chocolate Factory. Don't be misled by the name they serve a good range of great value food. Such a nice relaxed lunch but if you are a serious chocolate fan make sure you leave room for the chocolate brownie.

I had a very pleasant evening at the Menier Chocolate Factory, we had a vegetarian platter to share for starters (excellent mix with some little surprises) and the chicken parmigiana and a risotto with pumpkin&leek for mains (both delicious). Portions were so generous that we didn't try the desserts, though they had looked tempting earlier. Restaurant was not full but had a nice atmosphere, service was ever-present but not intrusive.... and all for 50 pounds. Could do a lot worse in London!
