Memories of India was really disappointing for us as it appeared to be recommended and we went for a special occasion. Our food did not taste anything like we expected and actually tasted so salty after a few mouthfuls that we didnt enjoy the food at all. The staff were nice and attentive but stood near our table while we ate making us feel uncomfortable. Maybe the other dishes are better but I would not return!

Unpretentious and relaxing with a menu that features all the old favourites and some interesting alternatives. The waiters were not afraid to make recommendations and the Mango served at the close of the meal was spectacular. Recommended for anyone looking for a good, reliable indian meal. The room is split into two, candle lit and cosey in the first half and a conservatory type room at the back, well lit during summer, I can imagine this is also very cosy during the winter months.

Memories of India is a long-established neighbourhood Indian that clearly delivers pleasant, honest cooking to its regulars. On a Monday lunchvisit we were the only diners, which made the atmosphere on a busy evening hard to judge, but service was correct and assiduous and the food (sizzling chicken shashlik, tasty chicken tikka, chewy rogon josh, samosas, creamy sag paneer, good pappadums and Kingfisher, was overall pleasant, and quite sufficient if not over-plentiful. Not remarkable, just nice

This is a great restaurant for a date, to dine alone, or with friends.

We had a nice meal, nothing outstanding and we were surprised at the bill £72 for 4 when we only had one dish each and rice, one nan and one veg which we shared and only two had beer.

Memories of India seemed to be a fairly standard Indian restaurant but the menu was reassuringly short and all the dishes we ordered were tasty. Mixed Tandoori starter was particuly good. The service was friendly and efficient.

Clean environment felt the restaurant was a little too quiet for two people to have a private conversation as everyone on each table could hear everyone elses conversation. Food was excellent. I myself was on a diet and therefore found something that was totally suitable for my dietry needs namely the mixed starter and the melon. Both were delicious and the garlic bread was light and fluffy and melted in the mouth. My companion enjoyed his selection also.
