We visited Mayur last night and my mouth is still watering at the thought of the amazing food! It was a tad exensive but well worth the treat - especially when you factor in the fantastic service. The abundance of dishes on the menu can be daunting but our waiter was on hand to help us choose. Well worth a visit, congratulations Mayur!

Took 21-year old for birthday celebration on a visit to Liverpool and was very impressed with staff's handling of the meal and producing a cake without notice. Food quality is good (on a par with London equivalents) and restaurant is spacious and comfortable without being cold. Service was the best experienced in a long time (and we eat out three days a week at least). Wine list good and very reasonably priced. Side dishes are, however, over-priced.

Mayur Indian Restaurant, Duke St. Liverpool. Lots of people made for a very lively atmosphere. Food and drink service was very quick. Lots of people serving. Toilets - VERY clean. A lot of effort has been taken to make a visit as pleasant as possible. Noticed that a lot of Indians ate there - can't be much wrong with the place then! The menu selection was varied and the Monkfish melted in the mouth. A little pricey but well worth a visit for special occasion.

Myself and colleagues dined at Mayur 28/02/08. The restaurant is bright, clean and airy yet welcoming. The greeting and ongoing service was attentive and timely without being overbearing. All diners thoroughly enjoyed their meals, the idea of Indian fine dining is well realised, and the dining experience was extremely enjoyable. Highly recommended, I am confident that I will become a regular customer!

Venue was very nicely decorated. Maitre D didnt ask if we wanted our coats hanging up when we entered restaurant . For both starter and main course one member of our party was waiting well over 5 minutes for their meal to arrive. All in all food was excellent and venue had a very nice ambience. Would visit again.

Mayur restaurant, Liverpool. This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The curry flavouring was much more subtle than usual, and although the lunchtime menu is a little restricted, this was because they wished to emphasise their specialties. Not particularly cheap but well worth it.. Get there early to find a parking space

We enjoyed a great night at Mayur. The service was excellent, the ambience was great and the price of the food was reasonable for the quality of the restaurant. Will definetly be going back in the very near future

Review
Mayur Indian Restaurant, Liverpool. Contemporary Indian restaurant that for once justifies the description in the food and not just the decor. Food was delicious, both in old favourites, such as Lamb rogan josh, which was several cuts above the usual and also in the inclusion of delicious dishes from the parts of India that aren't so often represented in UK restaurants. Service extremely friendly and willing, although perhaps a bit under-trained, but will definitely go again.
