After glowing recommendations, Maroush I turned out to be a big disappointment. With a party of five, we were forced to have a main and starter per head when we weren't overly that hungry. The food turned out rather bland and not value for money considering it was very pricey! The restaurant, although nice in side, was rather empty, though live entertainment was available from 9pm. Service was also fairly good, as we were served complimentary champagne and fruits/sweets.Overall, a big let-down.

The food at Maroush I was brilliant and the service was also good. However we were very surprised at the loud live pop singing and dancing kicking off at 9pm making conversation impossible (we were just expecting a belly dancer to come on a little later). Would recomend for loud partys but not intimate dinners.

Be warned Maroush charge around £6 a head for the pleasure of just sitting in their basement restaurant.

Maroush service and food were very good and the portions very generous. The experience was somewhat spoiled by the laud music and a luck of reasonably priced house wine on the wine list. While the mezes and main courses were good value, drinks and sundries were expensive.

Maroush 1 was very good food. Had an extensice menu that meant there were plenty of different dishes. No wonder the "brand" has been so succesful.

Went to Maroush 1 for dinner with a friend and totally enjoyed the experience. The food was great, they served relatively large potions and the customer service was supreme. There was also live music playing, so guests can linger over their meal whilst being entertained. Excellent all round.
