The bar was a little sticky, which was not that pleasant, but as we ate on a Tuesday, we had the service all to ourselves! The menu was 'something a little different' which always makes for a nice change. Reasonably priced, nice filling meals, not an extensive wine selection (the reds available were only the cheapest or the most exensive). The ladies however were freezing and could be made nice. I got the impression this place is more of a bar at the weekends. Overall though, would recommend!

The food was great at Marimba on Saturday night and the service was good too. The only thing lacking was the atmosphere which was a real pity especially as it was a weekend. Still I'm sure we'll be back again for more Springbok and Peppermint Crisp

Went to Marimba on a Sat night, it was fairly quiet but had a relaxed feel. The food was faultless - we had calamari starters, oxtail potjie and surf & turf and all meals were fantastic. Portions were generous. I feel its been underated by other diners, ok the service was a bit slow, but its because the waiting staff generallly work the bar as well. Who wants to gulp their food down and run off, anyway? I hope they extend the special offer as I would like to go back to try out the other dishes

I went to Marimba in South West London for my birthday dinner. The reception was very friendly and the atmosphere very smoothing. I have to mention that the pap that accompanied the Oxtail was a bit on the dry side. Apart from that the food and the service was very good and we had a very enjoyable night. I would definitely go there again and would definitely recommend the Peri Peri chicken livers for a starter.

We dined with the 50% offer, we all had 2 courses with wine & beer. We were all very satisfied with our meals. Our service was very attentive and I would definately recommend this restaurant if you live nearby. You can enjoy a cocktail before being seated in the dining area. Although, I would suggest they change the music. Not sure about lounge music during dinner.

Really great food, service was a little slow, perhaps because there was only about 1 waiter working on a Saturday night! Thought the food was excellent value for money - but the drinks were a bit pricey. The steak was particularly good.

Marimba was excellent value with the toptable deal. Food was lovely- the springbok and water buffalo were unbelievably tender and delicious. House wine was good and reasonably priced. Its a shame it wasnt busier 'cause it's a really nice place in a not so nice area.
