Mantra - a very quiet lunchtime meant a slightly dull atmosphere in this City curry house. Food was uninspiring, service pleasant though not exceptional. With so many alternatives close by I'll be tempted to try somewhere else next time.

Mantra is in a quiet street off the rush of city. With neon signs flashing "Indian Restaurant and Bar" on top gave the impression of a sleazy night club but once inside, it was nice and quiet. Decor is nice but a bit tattered and nothing special. The main hall is huge and therefore allows conversation without overhearing others. Food was tasty but not exceptional and service was tad bit slow but no complaints. Waiters were helpful without standing on our shoulders and bill was good value.

Visited Mantra for a work lunch which was ideal, the lunch time special which includes a curry, naan, rice and a small cobra is excellent value for money. Service was a little slow considering the restaurant was fairly empty however the food made up for it.
