Malmaison Brasserie - Glasgow. A very interesting menu the food was well presented and very good indeed. However the wine list was eye wateringly expensive, if you are on a budget you may want to stick to water!

A beautiful dining experience. Faultless service. The internet menu did not accurately reflect available choices. We were not tempted to stray from the ‘Home Grown’i.e. Table D’Hote menu. Starters were quite exciting but the main course options were essentially macaroni, fishcake or steak. Hardly haute cuisine. Presentation and cooking were excellent. The wine was over priced. Take care when descending the spiral staircase leading to the restaurant.

Malmaison Brasserie-Glasgow whilst the decor and ambience were nice, I found it rather dull and lacking in light. The service was attentive, however perhaps a little in your face at times. The food itself and choice was good, the only negative things was that both my self and guest had a steak, which was delivered and left on a wooden bread board i.e no plate to eat it from, not very hygenic and the food was rather tepid along with the coffee also. Value for money not too sure it was.

If this was my first visit to malmaison I would not be in a rushto go back. There was nothing outstanding on this visit although the food was excellent as usual.

We had a fab evening here. The split pea and haugh soup was fantastic, I could have eaten a huge plate of that with bread and been quite happy. The main we had was good but a little salty. The staff were absolutely lovely, both behind the bar and at the table. The bartender makes a mean Cosmopolitan! My only criticism would be the ambience. I was there with a girl friend so was having a good girly night out but the others around us were a bit "stuffed shirt". A good place for couples maybe.

We dined at Malmaison Brasserie, Glasgow on 4th June, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. My partner had spring lamb, which was perfectly cooked and was full of flavour; I had spring chicken - a complete chicken I think ! - cut into four delicate portions and served in a lovely sauce. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the evening was a great success. The ambience of the Brasserie is rather dark, but for us this did not detract from the experience.
