The Liaison is a nice restaurant, but quite pricey. The wines were extremely expensive - an ordinary white was nearly £19. Food is delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were friendly. However, manager had no qualms about critisizing a new member of staff whilst she was serving us at our table, which made us all feel a bit uneasy.

The meal was really good, and the service understated but efficient. There were few diners in the restaurant that evening, so very little ambience at all. The food made up for the lack of atmosphere, all individually prepared so not a "fast-food" experience. The highlight of the meal was my companions roasted cod with risotto - absolutely sublime! Portion sizes are good and it's worth leaving some space for the creative deserts. Overall - worth another visit!

Most enjoyable evening with lovely food. They accommodated everything that was requested and made us feel v special. They could not please us enough. Sadly we were the only customers. But still it was v good a little chilly as we were the only occupants. Liaison Rest.

Liaison Restaurant, Hall Green, Birmingham. A delightful evening - our taxi was late, but we were still warmly welcomed. Service was a little slow, but all the food was well worth waiting for - very tasty "amuse-bouches" and excellent flavours and cooking. Probably more expensive than this area is used to, and being a week-end, we were unable to take advantage of Top Table offers, but definitely worth another visit, and somewhere I would take guests I was hoping to impress!

We have dined at Liaison several times and have always had a wonderful time. The food is delicious and well presented, the atmosphere relaxed and informal and the service is excellent. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone (the food and service are much better that the Michelin starred restaurants that we have visited in Birmingham). We will definitely return AAA+++

This is a lovely find - a stylish and welcoming restaurant in Birmingham. The Dutch lady owner is charming and efficient - and the food, whilst occasionally a little ambitious - is generally excellent.

Food at Liaison Restaurant was excellent, service was good but extremely slow despite the restaurant being quiet. Toptable's offer was for set menu, which didn't excite us, so we went for the a la carte options. More expensive, but good value relative to top London restaurants. Would recommend to other diners wanting to spend a little more for a nice meal out.

The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend a visit. We certainly will book again. One niggle: The wines. Expensive. The quality of what we had though was worth the money.

Liaison has a serious approach to presenting authentic French regional cuisine, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Dress code is smart, but midweek there were people there in jeans and no-one seemed offended. The choices on the special offer menu were limited but very well done, and at the offer price were truly excellent value. We will go back.
