The best thing about le Grand Cafe is the stunning decoration. Take a camera. Turn of the Century (19th) murals, mirrors, carved woodwork, Tiffany ceiling. Amazing. Spacious, comfortable seating, pleasant sedate ambiance. The service was efficient and unhurried. Food was well presented. Main courses were small portions. Langustines with no accompaniment were sparse eating. My fish stew Marmite was more acceptably sized. Perhaps the other dishes would have been a better choice for the hungry.

Le Grand Cafe gave us everything we expected from a French resturant, good food, wonderful wine, pleasent friendly service, well worth a visit.

A beautiful interior and general unpretencious ambience was complemented by friendly staff. A menu of reasonable variety, with portions that upon first sighting may appear small but as a 3 course are just right. You will leave this restuarant feeling comfortable. For those with little or no grip on the french language, English translations are available.

We made a mistake in going to The Grand Cafe and not ordering seafood. Whilst all the locals around us were enjoying stacks of lovely looking shellfish, we went for trad stuff like fish soup and steak - and paid the price. Our food was not well prepared or cooked. But the venue was great and the oysters, whelks, crab, lobster looked amazing. Wld definitely go back - hopefully wiser about what to order.

Fantastic evening. Highly recommend. Food was good, considering they had to cater for 24 of us. Good atmosphere and very good service. Great for big groups.

Le Grand Cafe in Paris the food is good but our service was poor , two meals were wrongly served and were not cooked as ordered . When we complained after the meal we were told that we changed our order when the food arrived and there was nothing they could do .

For a truly Parisian dining experience, Le Grand Cafe must surely come tops. The seafood dishes offered great value for money and were extremely well prepared. The duck dish was the best I've had in many years. Service couldn't be faulted, ambience was perfect. All in all, a truly wonderful night out. Will definitely tell everyone about it and be back in the future!

We had a very good meal at Le Grand Cafe. Despite arriving over an hour late we were ushered past the queue to an excellent table and a very enjoyable meal. The platters are a must..

I was on a works day out to Paris and after a great day we finished with a meal at the Le Grand Cafe. We had an excellent meal and we could not fault the service. One waitress noticed that one of our party had a sore wrist, she offered immediately to cut her food for her. Had the set menu price and it was excellent value for money. French onion soup to die for. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
