This is a small restaurant, with a very friendly husband and wife team running it. They could not have been more helpful, and were wonderful with the children too. The only downfall was the wait for the table, even though we had booked. A very simple restaurant, but a good find.

A nice little French Bistro serving authentic Bistro cooking. Very friendly staff at Le Cercle and not disappointed with the food especially the L'Escargot and a delicious French pudding of Creme Patisserie and meringue!

Excellent welcome bythe owner at Le Cercle who bent over backwards to help. The food was well presented and original. A cavalcade of fantastic flavours The Orgasm of Chocolate was superb and the 1 kilogramme of steak took some devouring The scallops were delicate and very tasty This restaurant should not be missed on any visit to Lille

Le Cercle in Lille had a great ambience, very buzzy, there were ll ladies celebrating a birthday and the patron was charming, gave us a kir and looked after us well considering it was a busy lunchtime and all french, lovely not another brit in sight! Food not bad, good value but a good time was had by all.

This restaurant is a real mixed bag. The ambience was pleasant and perfectly French, just what we were looking fo in fact. However the service was terrible, there were 16 of us and it took 25 minutes before we were served a drink! Fortunately it got better and after an hour our order was taken. The food was by and large really quite good and the staff lovely. A really nice touch was taking group photographs and emailing them to us. I'd recommend but just make sure you're there for the evening!

Review

Our dinner at Le Cercle was quite disappointing and will not recommend it to anyone. Only the fois gras was nice as starter and the rest was below average. My fish which is the dish of the day was so bland , tasteless. I was horrified to hear the microwave going and there is only 1 person working in the kitchen. There was hardly anyone having dinner on the night. On the whole, I could have had a better experience elsewhere.

I must admit to being disappointed with Le Cercle. It was good value I admit that, but the menu was short and limited and the food we chose was not particularly inspiring. Nice enough ambience and staff but would not go again.
