The food we had at La Vierge Noire was certainly tasty- although a little overly "presented". The look of the place was great. Shame about the service; it had been fine, albeit a bit slow, but once they'd given us the bill we were ignored for twenty minutes... annoying, as we wanted to pay and leave.

It was spectacular. If you had the wine it was extra and it would have been good to know this but I can fault the experience. It was superb!

Always an extremely pleasant evening for those not in a hurry and much to say to those in company.

The restaurant is just outside the charming centre of the city, so it is something of an oasis! There was building work going on nearby - and these facts may explain why we were the only customers on that particular luchtime! The discovery menu was very interesting and definately worh trying. The sevice was excellent.

I was looking forward to this restaurant after reading the other reviews however I was disappointed. The food was nice but Brussels definitely has better restaurants than this. the white and green asparagus as starter was terrible and the pork was overcooked. The service was good and there was a nice atmosphere but I was not overall inmpressed.

Located just off the cornor of Brussel's china town, a little rough as many homelessness seem to gather in this area... However, la vierge noire was a delightful find. Great presentation and delicious twists to inventive dishes. We choose the 5course excluding wine and were very happy with all the dishes apart from the main - Emu which came rare - had to ask the waitress to take back to grill a little longer. Service was very good, altho there were only 8 other diners there (very quiet).

Excellent food, the menu de marche was particularly good. Well worth the money. Not for those in a hurry!

La Vierge Noire was a lovely Art Deco restaurant. It has set menues with wine included or you can pick your own dishes from a menu. The food and staff were wonderful. I will definitely go again when I am in brussels.

Excellent food, generous portions and attentive service. The scallops were cooked to perfection with a well balance creamy leek sauce, and the deserts were heavenly. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

La Vierge Noire is in a suberb location in the heart of the old town in Brussels. The offer we had was for a set menu which was 5 beautifully presented, very small, nouvelle cuisine courses. There was no choice at all with this menu and sadly the 'main' course was lamb which neither of us eat. There is a wine menu option at €20 per person but we had none served with the first course and had to ask for the second course. The staff were polite but didn't speak very good English. Overpriced!
