Joe Allen always has pleasant ambience, and does not rush you with last order policy. Food is reliable without being spectacular, but no long waits, and charming, attentive service

Great pre theatre dinner at Joe Allen's - relaxed atmosphere and supper but got us to theatre on time. Rather limited pre-theatre menu choice but main menu was good. Superb relaxed evening to quietly catch up. Great V for M too.

Always a joy to eat at Joe Allens. It was quieter than normal this time, but as we had a large party, it didn't matter at all. Service was excellent, and the food very good.

The "New England Lobster Roll" I ate was nothing more than a bun with crabsalad, the Grilled Chicken my companions had was very tasty. Nice friendly personnel. Fair food for a good price.

Dined at a quiet lunchtime and my first visit with (grand) children, for whom crayons had been provided for drawing on the paper tablecloth. No special child meals, but staff were very accommodating and adults and children enjoyed the food. Please the kids and that invariably pleases the parents! More non-dining relatives with children were allowed to join us towards the end of the meal, and a very happy time was had by all.

Joe Allen is still a great stalwart in ever-changing London. The food is not awe-inspiring but is pretty good fare, but the place just has such a great atmosphere, you just want to stay for as long as humanly possible! The service I received was impeccable, and very friendly. Quite frankly when I arrived they might as well have laid down the red carpet. It felt like you were being welcomed into someone's warm and inviting front lounge. I thoroughly recommend a visit!!
